Let me give you a warm welcome on the website of Számalk-Salesian Post-Secondary Vocational School.
Our institution is funded by the Hungarian Salesian Administrative Body for Education, which means that it follows the footsteps of Salesian Don Bosco: we are here to serve, to teach and educate the youth by Don Bosco’s instructions with great love, patience, understanding and in a cheerful manner; to give faith and purpose in life, provide community to all young people.
We offer courses with an admission criterion of GCSE/secondary qualification, which means that our students range from 18 years of age. The training lasts 2 years and we offer training in three big areas: IT (e.g. software-development), art (graphic designer), humanities (tour guide). Our students have the opportunity to have full-time education (80%), and also we offer evening courses (20%).
Our training portfolio presently contains 20 programs in 7 vocations at advanced and high levels. 1000 students participate in the different training programs preparing for the labour market.
We take our educating job quite seriously, at the same time we also take part in many different international projects: e.g. JobLab, Flip IT!, WAMDIA, just to name a few.
