We are the only institution in the country where you can start an education assistant course in the 13th grade after your GSCE. In addition, you will also be provided with a grant.

This year, for the first time in our school, in technical training.

What does this mean to you?

Regarding the training, you will get the same professional knowledge and standard as before, but now you will be provided with a grant: HUF 8,000 per month in the first term (sectoral basic education) and HUF 16,000 after a successful sectoral basic exam. In the 14th grade you will get a performance-based amount between HUF 16,000 and  HUF 59,000, depending on results. Moreover, in case of a successful final exam you will be given a one-time career start support, between  HUF 130,000 and 302,000, depending on results. (Grants may change according to statutory regulations.)

In addition, you will even make your university admission easier, because by completing your course studies at the cooperating universities, you will already get part of your credits in advance.

What do education assistants do?

They perform tasks that are an important part of the education and teaching of children:

• participation in direct pedagogical work and its preparation;
• performing care tasks, with regard to the (special) needs of the children entrusted to them;
• even substituting teachers in class or in other activities;
• supervising and accompanying groups;
• planning leisure programs and camps and, of course, participating in their implementation.

Of course, education assistants can work not only in kindergartens and schools: they might take on tasks in children’s programs, indoor play centres, camps and family day care centers as well.

They can participate in:

• problem solving,
• facilitating decision-making situations,
• mediation activities,
• and of course they can lend families a helping hand in their everyday life.

What makes the education assistant training special?

We also welcome applications for our school’s humanities courses from students who require special attention – students of Roma origin, with special educational needs and/or with learning difficulties, who are considered vulnerable and who receive regular child protection support.

In our school, and especially in public education associate and education assistant classes, we place great emphasis on community building, equal opportunities, catching-up and talent management.

In our humanities courses, it is not a problem if you are with dyslexia, dyscalculia or dysgraphia; or you are possibly struggling with learning difficulties.

The training has already been successfully completed by disabled, visually impaired and hearing impaired students.

What is necessary for you to be successful in our humanities courses is that you should

• be able to establish and maintain relationships with others,
• have adequate oral communication skills and
• be able and motivated to study.

What do public education associates do?

Public education associates – who might also be called event or cultural organisers, or entertainers – “speak to the masses”, intervene directly in the life of a community, thus their actions and words are of great importance – they can thereby be value-creating, value-shaping figures.

Their main tasks include organising local community life, taking care of culture, spreading community values and organising events in order to achieve these.

They could work as theater employees, program organisers in museums and libraries, training organisers in the HR department of companies or other places and entertainers at travel agencies.

As contractors, their tasks include planning and organising the envisioned events of clients, and coordinating the implementation of those.

Does it sound complicated? With us, you will find your way through the maze and you could even start planning a joint venture together with students in our other professions (e.g. photographers and decorators). We help you with this by organizing interdisciplinary projects during your training.

What do business administration clerks do?

Business administration clerks usually work in the SME sector, but they can also manage their tasks efficiently at large companies. They have all the sufficient knowledge necessary for the successful operation and economic support of a business. Thus, they are also capable of managing a business themselves.

Tasks and responsibilities of business administration clerks include, for instance:

• contribution to the fulfillment of the company’s financial tasks based on professional guidance,
• in accordance with management guidelines, participation in the preparation of company regulations and monitoring their changes,
• performing administrative tasks,
• keeping records of orders, contracts and incoming invoices,
• performing tasks related to accounting and monitoring within the company,
• preparing company declarations, submitting them electronically after permission & approval and participation in the administration of official inspections,
• performing tasks related to sales,
• being aware of current legal and economic basics,
• preparing, managing and organising records related to labor management,
• dealing with employment contracts and, if necessary, making changes to them,
• registering personal documents of employees and keeping them up-to-date,

It means that:

• in the second year a significant part of the practical lessons are organized at partner companies cooperating with the school,
• you can practice your future profession in a real environment, thus you gain labor market experience and references even before the end of the training,
• therefore you increase your chances of landing a job.

In addition, you receive a monthly allowance (based on a state grant scheme in the first year and on a state grant scheme OR an employment contract in the second year).

IMPORTANT!

In the second year, practical lessons are completed within the framework of a dual employment contract at our partner companies, the duration of which is anticipated to be 6 months. No state grant is provided for this period, but you will be entitled to a much higher wage than the grant.

In the case of a 40-hour internship employment contract salaries can range from HUF 100,000 HUF gross to HUF 168,000 gross (12/2020 (Government Decree II.7 § 253).

What do tour organisers do?

They provide information, prepare travel plans and itineraries, book tickets and accommodation, and organize package tours/holidays at a tour operator or travel agency.

They carry out marketing and sales activities, maintain contact with foreign and domestic partners, organize and sell inbound and outbound trips.

They collect information about various means of transport and accommodation, and provide their customers with information about their travel arrangements.

They build itineraries, issues tickets and vouchers.

During the tourists’ stay, they display the tourism palette of the destination, help inform tourists and organize their programs.

They have extensive and up-to-date knowledge in their field. Through them, tourists get to know the given destination, its traditions, gastronomy and culture.

Tour organisers are excellent communicators in both Hungarian and foreign languages. They build relationships easily and successfully resolve conflicts as well.

Tourism technicians, or tour guides, perform complex tasks, as they are organizers, sales representatives, world travellers, interpreters and in a certain sense, performers at the same time – they play multiples roles in one person. However, all of these are inspiring to them, as they are truly in their element when events are taking place around them.

As a tour guide, they do not only introduce local sights and landmarks, but also make the trip memorable for their group.

What do IT system and applications support technicians do?

IT system and applications support technicians, empowered by sufficient IT and network knowledge, take part in the planning, installation and operation of small and medium-sized networks, either working in a team or independently. They cooperate with system analysts and software architects/engineers and solve simpler problems independently using the Internet. Among other things, their duties and responsibilities may include ensuring the coordinated and smooth operation and updating of physical and cloud-based IT network devices and servers, applications and workstations with different operating systems, and their appropriate connection to cloud services. They provide assistance to colleagues in the use of applications and performs application operation tasks. In the framework of projects, they install and configure IT security devices, firewalls, anti-virus softwares and operate a virtualized server environment. They also possess basic programming skills, which enable them to solve user and web tasks and operate a web server system and manage databases. They communicate effectively in both Hungarian and English on professional topics.

To whom do we recommend the IT system and applications support technician course?

We recommend it to all who want not only to use, but also understand and operate computer systems and want to build and operate a secure home and office network in either a Windows or a Linux environment.

What do software development and testing technicians do?

Software development and testing technicians are specialists who can design, develop, test and document web, desktop and mobile applications (softwares). In addition to web development and coding tasks, they also design and manage databases. Working in a team, they cooperate with other colleagues participating in the software development project. They complete assigned sub-tasks independently, use development and version management tools that support teamwork. They solve problems that arise during their work independently by searching the web and using various internet knowledge bases. They are open to apply new technologies and constantly develop their knowledge. They communicate effectively in both Hungarian and English on professional topics.

A programmer must „speak” and understand several languages ​​at the same time.

It is necessary for them to know:

• the „standard” language of the used platform (e.g. JAVA, C#);
• other query, description and markup languages ​​(SQL, XML, HTML, CSS);
• script languages ​​(PHP, JavaScript);
• how methodologies and technologies must be used in addition to knowledge of languages;
• the AJAX technology;
• or how a RESTful application must be created, regardless of the programming language, by building a client-server architecture.

To whom do we recommend the software development and testing technician course?

We recommend it to all those who:

• like creative, thoughtful tasks and would like to create new and useful applications with the help of the computer;
• are curious about how games and mobile applications are made;
• would like to get to know the principles according to which modern, everyday applications and web services are designed;
