Introduction
The workshop organized as part of the VITA project aims to map teachers’ learning needs and preferences regarding the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into teaching practice. The workshop builds on two preliminary activities: the SELFIE self-assessment survey and a consultation workshop with companies. These activities contribute to the development of the curriculum for the „Vocational Education and Training with Artificial Intelligence” course.



Expected results
• Reports: National and comparative reports on the findings of the workshops and webinars.
• Training needs: A validated list of training needs that can be used to develop the curriculum in WP2A3.
• Mentor network: A mentor network established in all partner countries to support cooperation between pilot programs and teachers.

1. Overview of the workshop
The purpose and background of the workshop were presented, including the objectives and partnership of the VITA project and the role of schools.
2. Summary of SELFIE survey results
• Presentation of DigCompEdu and DigCompEdu AI.

• Identification of strengths and areas for improvement, as well as main barriers and support needs.
3. Summary of the corporate consultation workshop

4. Main modules and structure
• Methodology (blended learning, microlearning, mentoring)
o Explanation of the VITA 3-step model
o Implementation of the blended course (September 2026 – January 2027. F2F lessons, online learning, lesson plan preparation for AI-supported classes.
o Testing lessons in classrooms (January 2027 – May 2027), preparing case studies, self-reflections.
5. Discussion and conclusions, summarizing the results, where we considered the following aspects:
• The relevance of AI topics for teachers.
• Skills to be developed and suggested teaching situations.
This workshop provided an excellent opportunity for teachers to share their experiences and needs in the field of AI integration, thereby contributing to the shaping of future vocational education.
